Ms. Seema Shetty is the third daughter of Dr. BR and CR Shetty. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from Boston University.
Currently she is the Vice President (Corporate Excellence) for NMC Healthcare. As the VP Corporate Excellence, she spearheads learning and development of systems and staff through proactive feedback mechanisms and knowledge sharing circles. She initiated the ‘Dr. C. R. Shetty Centre for Simulation and Interactive Learning’ a simulation center for healthcare professionals and leaders covering the evidence-based skills needed to provide best healthcare outcomes and patient care for the diversified population base of the Middle East.) Seema is an Entrepreneurship Advisory Board Member of New York University-Abu Dhabi and Advisor of Boston University Alumnae Leadership Council – Middle East. She is an Executive Committee Member for IBPG (Indian Business Professional Group) to help business people grow and self-sustain. She is also the Founder of Toast Masters NMC Community Chapter.
Seema’s business interests are Catering Services like Biterite- Nutrition and Healthy food catering, industry catering & corporate catering. Food and Beverage retail outlets, Healthcare, Education.
Seema was conferred upon “The Super 100 Indian Women Achievers in the Middle East and Africa” award. Her zeal and fervor towards establishing Zari Zardozi was rewarded in the form of ‘Whats On Best Newcomer Award’. Zari Zardozi was also picked up the coveted Time Out Awards for ‘Best Indian Restaurant’ and ‘Highly Recommended Indian Restaurant’. Seema bagged The Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award (SKEA) in 2015 for ‘Outstanding Initiative & Leadership’ for NMC Healthcare presented to her by His Highness Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court and member of the Executive Council. Seema was in first batch of ‘Happiness & Positivity Program for the Private Sector’ with Ministry of Happiness in partnership with Wharton Executive Education and the University of Pennsylvania’s Positive Psychology Center. Participated in Ministry of Foreign Affairs development program for Women Empowerment.
Seema believes in giving back wherever she can and touching as many lives as possible in a positive way. That includes giving to charities and causes, both locally and globally. Seema who served as a board member of Special Care Centre, Abu Dhabi has a dream of empowering girls especially in the rural areas of India. Seema has contributed to Khushi India’s Save the Girl Child ‘Beti Bachao Campaign’ and is keen to work on an awareness drive against female feticide in the states of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. Seema supported ‘Pratham Education Foundation’ and ‘Special Care Centre’ on personal level and through her companies dedicating a line of Jewelry to them where percentage of sales were allocated to them. Supported Ekal Foundation, UAE based Business men, Entrepreneurs and Laborers. Donated food during holy month of Ramadan and collaborated with a local organization for food distribution to other segments of society. She also conducted Health and Nutrition awareness campaigns for the communities and children with special needs.
